This session explores the discrete needs of international students as they move through their post-secondary life cycle and how UBC has designed unique and intentional supports for every step of their journey. We will discuss the targeted marketing and recruitment initiatives used to engage prospective international students during their post-secondary decision making process. Then we will look research driven and asset based approaches to programming developed to meet students’ transition, progression, and development needs, and how the university community is engaged in this regard. Moreover, we will share our approaches to supporting international students next steps beyond university.
