BCCIE Summer Conference provides an essential platform for the growth of BC’s International Education sector. BCCIE’s annual conference brings together more than 400 participants from our province, across Canada and beyond our borders. The conference attracts senior leaders, researchers, practitioners, student service providers, administrators, government, NGOs, and students to explore these ideas with the aim of strengthening our work and taking steps towards advancing outstanding leadership in the fields of International Education in BC.

Ajay Patel is the Vice President, External Development at Langara College, responsible for the development, implementation, review and renewal of the College’s strategic plan, including oversight of activities, operations and initiatives of the College that support the College in achieving the strategic priority of financial sustainability in five key areas: International Education, Continuing Studies, Institutional Research, Communications and Marketing and, College Advancement (including the Langara College Foundation). His previous leadership positions at Langara include Associate Vice President, International and External Development, the Dean of International Education, Chair of the Health Sciences Division and Chair of the Kinesiology Department.  During his tenure as Dean of International Education, Ajay was instrumental in stewarding the development of the international initiatives for the College. Ajay started his post-secondary education at Langara College and completed his undergraduate and Master’s degree at the University of British Columbia. Ajay currently serves on a number of external groups including the College and Institutes of Canada’s International Advisory Committee, Business Council of BC’s Next Leaders Council and Conference Board of Canada’s Leaders Roundtable on Immigration.
