Aireen Luney is currently the Acting Director of Skills Immigration, with the BC Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) in the Ministry of Jobs, Tourism & Skills Training. She is responsible for leading the operations and setting the strategic direction and operational priorities of the program’s Skills Immigration Unit.
In her previous role as Manager, Program Development and Promotion for the BC PNP, Aireen led the development and implementation of outreach and promotion strategies, and managed the BC PNP’s marketing plan to promote B.C.’s immigration programs. Aireen also led strategic program development and planning initiatives to monitor and report on trends and opportunities impacting the branch in order to develop and recommend strategies and implement solutions.
Prior to joining the BC PNP, Aireen had extensive experience in all aspects of human resource management with the BC Public Service Agency. She has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Victoria and speaks four languages.
